ShareIllinois Legal Aid Online has developed a series of resources to assist your clients during tax season. Please share the information below with your clients to educate them about the Earned Income Tax Credit and places where they can get their taxes done for free.
- EITC Guide Me: this website tool bundles information together into one location. There are FAQs, forms and instructions about eligibility and applying for federal and state EITCs.
- En Español: we have comprehensive information on the EITC for Spanish-speakers, as well as tax sites they can visit for assistance.
- Tax Help Sites: we list locations for free electronic tax preparation and ITIN applications in Chicagoland area and throughout the state, as well as upcoming events.
