In recognition of the need for quality legal representation for those working in typically under-served communities, The Law Project (TLP) was created to provide free transactional legal services to three distinct client groups: 1. Community-based nonprofit organizations working in the areas of housing, economic development and social services; 2. Low income individuals pursuing entrepreneurship to achieve economic self-sufficiency; 3. First time home-buyers receiving government subsidies for home purchases. TLP attorney/volunteers provide transactional legal assistance; assisting clients with corporate, real estate, employment, intellectual property, and financing issues. TLP does not accept clients if the assistance requested involves a dispute or litigation. Since its founding, TLP volunteers have worked with over 2,000 nonprofit organizations, and contribute over $2 million in free legal services annually.
Staff lists are only available to legal aid advocates.
